Abstract

This paper presents a summary and comparison of the results of three surveys with different groups of users concerning their usage of social software tools in academic settings. The first survey addressed students across various disciplines (1024 participants), the second one addressed only students in information science and related disciplines (346 participants), and the third one addressed researchers and university teachers (136 participants) across several disciplines.
