Abstract

The integration of Hardwire, a cloud-based personal learning environment, with Projectrix, a cloud-based Electronic Portfolio Assessment Management System, addresses the need for tools needed for informal learning. Both systems embrace a learner-centric environment where learners are allowed to personalize, control and manage their own learning, and at the same time, have a learner-centric assessment process of their projects. Academic networking makes use of social networking tools to teach students interaction, collaboration and engagement.
