Abstract

Student teachers at the University of the Balearic Islands, Ibiza headquarters, are carrying out an eportfolio project based on Web 2.0 tools. The project also aims to meet as well ICT and Web 2.0 skills. In this way, ICT is embedded in the whole pre-service teacher curricula. So students are simultaneously developing at the same time their eportfolio and their own PLE, while learning with ICT, as a model for their own future teaching. We are presenting the results of the first year of implementation of the project. Students started working and using Web 2.0 to extend their PLE through the process of building their own eportfolio. A small number of the students who started the project have been enjoying the experience whereas a large part of the group are still not enjoying it, questioning the reason why, they as future Infant Education teachers, have to learn with ICT.
